East Melbourne (Bill's Pillars, MIFGS 2007)
'BILLS PILLARS' was exhibited at the 2007 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show and was developed to explore what constitutes a landscape design. Required to use Shakespeare as the overlying theme colour, shape and form were used to create a dramatic representation of William Shakespeare’s major works. Each Shakespearian work is represented by a single pillar, with the colour of a pillar indicating the work’s genre. The height of each column represents in relative terms the length of the work and the columns have been arranged from left to right in chronological order. At a single viewpoint you can understand the order, length and genre of ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. back to projects |
